Istumbled on Bonnie Maygarden’s in Marie Chaisson’s Gallery in the CBD and I genuinely had a connection to her work. This NOLA bred artist is a NOCCA grad. Her artist statement follows:
My work deals with the merging of photo-realism and abstraction through painting and sculpture. I use gold to convey empty value, which in my mind is a metaphor for art.
